With plenty of hype about the end of the world (or the shifting of a new era, if you prefer) going around in the interwebs and beyond, it’s pretty damn appropriate for these Mexican wunderkinds to release a re-edit of Molotov‘s classic “El Mundo,” off their aptly-titled Apocalypshit. Within this 2012, Meketrefe has established a name for himself in the Latin DJ scene releasing original singles, and notably by remastering his own unique versions of covers such as Johnny Cash’s take of Nine Inch Nails’s “Hurt” and Psy’s “Gangnam Style” among others. For this re-edit, he teams up with Sayonara, and together they revamp “El Mundo” by adding heavy distorted bass and more percussion making it resonate a sexy thumpin’ doomsday sound.
