Elastic Bond’s Outer Space Jams Crash Land On Earth In “Frecuencia Natural”
Miami-based quartet Elastic Bond is tough to pinpoint on the music genre map. The band, featuring Sofy Encanto, Andres Ponce, Buffalo Brown, and David Burgos deftly combines the sounds of Latin, soul, and electronica that’s can compare to Thievery Corporation‘s sound with a dash of Miami Sound Machine.
The video for the band’s latest single, “Frecuencia Natural,” highlights the otherworldly, positive vibe of their sound by telling the tale of an outer space traveler dressed to the nines in Candyland gear who lands on earth. She assists a witch in picking an apple that, unfortunately, is used to kill Snow White. It then falls to Elastic Bond and the power of their music is used to cheer her up and help her understand the world. Or at least, that’s how it seems.
