Getting justice for Víctor Jara has been a decades-long effort, so it was only a matter of time until the investigation was unpacked in documentary form. In October, Netflix announced that an episode of their doc series ReMastered would examine the nueva canción icon’s untimely death, and now we have the first trailer of the installment.

Directed by B.J. Perlmutt, “Massacre at the Stadium” follows Pedro Barrientos Núñez, the former Chilean army officer who was found liable for Jara’s killing in 2016 but now lives as a free man in Florida. It also examines the days leading up to Jara’s death, when, following the CIA-backed coup d’etat that helped establish Pinochet’s dictatorship, Jara was rounded up alongside thousands of others, jailed, and then killed. The investigation about Jara’s murder has unfolded over the last 40 years and is considered one of the Latin American music world’s greatest crimes.

ReMastered‘s other installments also address major unsolved mysteries in the music industry, like the shooting of Bob Marley and Johnny Cash’s visit to the White House under Nixon. Check out the first trailer for the Jara installment below.

ReMastered‘s “Massacre at the Stadium” episode hits Netflix on Friday, January 11.
