As XLR8R posted earlier today, Berlin-based artist, experimental electronic producer, and DJ Matias Aguayo will release a new four-track EP, Legende, on Kompakt Records this October 6th. Aguayo has more recently centered his energy on building his Cómeme label, which was home to his last release, The Visitor, and as a platform has become reliably fertile ground for innovative Latin electronic artists like DJs Pareja, Carisma, Alejandro Paz, Daniel Maloso, Dany F, and more.
The upcoming release marks Aguayo’s return to the Kompakt label, where he previously released projects under his own name and also as half of the Closer Musik production moniker with Dirk Leyers. As he told XLR8R regarding the concept for the EP, “Legends are memories…but memories of a glorified past, that becomes legendary only in our mind, not necessarily in reality.”
