As new countries are steadily making their way into the global independent music industry, Colombia continues to make a case for itself as one of the key markets for music production and consumption in Latin America. To maintain its place in the ever-changing music business, public and private sectors are heavily investing in current and future generations of Colombian musicians, label heads, journalists, and fans as well. This week, Bogotá will get the spotlight as the city is getting ready for the seventh edition of Resonancia, a conference aimed at individuals interested in the industry’s digital revolution.

In the 2016 edition of Resonancia, national and international music industry experts will come together to offer insider perspectives and solutions in navigating the music industry landscape. The conference consists of a series of panels, keynotes, and Q&A sessions hosted by the likes of Rocio Guerrero (Spotify), Tony Kiewel (Sub Pop Records), Fernando Luaces (Altafonte), Catalina Ceballos (RTVC), Nico Vallejo (Vice Colombia), Sandra Jimenez (You Tube/Google Play), and more. Remezcla will be represented by our artist relations manager (and resident Dominican) Joel Moya.

Live showcases will follow the conference’s daily activities with performances from Bomba Estéreo, Romperayo, Pernett, and more.

Resonancia takes place October 12 to 14 at the Corferias convention center. The conference is open to the general public at no cost. To live stream the panels, click here. To register and find out more information, head over to Resonancia‘s website.
