Video: Patafunk – "Relax"

Woohoo, it’s Monday! Kidding, who really says that? As much preparation needed to finalize things for next month around here, and say goodbye to summer soon (tear), Brooklyn by way of Venezuela duo Patafunk saved the day making it more at ease with their latest summer-breeze video, “Relax.” Sure, New York City can take one by storm, as it holds the moniker as the city that never sleeps for a very good goddam reason, but Patafunk simply reminds us to just chill out and say, “Hey, it’s okay to do a couple of cartwheels with little kids at the park.” Off their last year’s debut album Playa, “Relax” is a bilingual song that further aids towards tranquility, and most importantly, it gets in the core of what we should all remember to do: have a little fun and some “me” time. The tune fulfills it’s purpose over a funky eletro synth beat and comforting lyrics and harmonies. It was shot last year in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park on the 4th of July where we see our lovely friends Cem and Su Patafunk blissfully partake in outdoor activities during a beautiful and relaxing day.

The ditty is on it’s way to be remixed, so stay tuned for an alternative version. In the meantime, sit back and relax as you watch this video:
