Peso Pluma revealed that he is on the mend. Last night (June 12), the Mexican superstar gave an update on a foot injury he sustained during a recent performance at the Governors Ball Music Festival, and it involved undergoing surgery.

Peso Pluma was a headliner at this year’s Governors Ball in New York City. On Sunday night, he hit the stage at Flushing Meadows Corona Park to perform all of his hits. In the middle of his set, Peso Pluma injured himself while jumping around to one of his songs. As Remezcla’s Social Media manager Alma Sacasa noted, he didn’t let the pain of his injury stop him and he still greeted his fans and completed his set.

After finishing his set at Gov Ball, Peso Pluma was rushed to the hospital. In his Instagram stories, he posted a few photos of himself in a hospital bed. Peso Pluma also let his fans know that he suffered a fracture due to the foot injury during his performance.

On Wednesday night, Peso Pluma gave his fans an update about his injury. In his Instagram broadcast channel group, he posted another photo from his hospital bed. Peso revealed he underwent an operation because of his injury. “My people, they already did my surgery,” he wrote in the group. “Everything came out really good! Soon I will return to the stage.”

Gov Ball was Peso Pluma’s last scheduled performance before he launches the Éxodo Tour next month. The first concert will take place on July 19 at the Moody Center in Austin, TX. On June 20, he will release his Éxodo album. The first disc features corridos and música mexicana, while the second disc will include hip-hop and reggaeton collaborations. Cardi B will feature on the song “Put Em in the Fridge.” The LP will also feature Quavo, Rich the Kid, DJ Snake, Kenia Os, Ivan Cornejo, and many others.
