Through various appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Saturday Night Live, Ariana Grande has proven that she’s highly adept at musical impressions. And though she’s dabbled with Shakira impressions in the past, she – like many others who go viral for their impressions – don’t really imitate Latin American artists. Enter: Renata Vaca. In a video posted to her Facebook and other social media accounts on Thursday, she flawlessly emulated eight Latin American and Spanish artists and Britney Spears.
The video starts with Vaca – an actress and singer – playing the ukulele when her friend records her and asks her to participate in the #ImitandoCantantesChallenge. He starts throwing out names like Shakira (a go-to option for these challenges apparently), Carla Morrison, Mon Laferte, and Rocío Dúrcal. None of the artists trip her up. She doesn’t have to think very long before she breaks out into song, and she executes each and every single impression impeccably.
