Argentinean indie dream pop trio Todos Los Rayos has a gift for making simple and romantic melodies flow together seamlessly. This is another Latin band that has adopted a pure American indie rock sound, although the album is almost entirely sung in Spanish.
Todos Los Rayos recently released a vintage-looking, homemade summer video “Noches de verano” and a full length self-titled album which is available for free download. Their sound has a romantic, vibrant, dream pop vibe and is a great summer time listen. It’s reminiscent to the American alt rock bands of the early ’90s like Smashing Pumpkins and R.E.M. Even though the singer/guitarist Paraguanoise is a bit tone deaf, his lyrics and vocals are very endearing. It makes the album unique and a joy to listen to.
