A lot of clapping and cuteness in this debut video by Brooklyn’s Atropolis. After releasing an Afro-Colombian compilation with Qué Bajo!’s Geko Jones, the Brooklynite producer is ready for his solo album, Transitions, scheduled to drop on August 13th via his crew label Cumba Mela.

Born Adam Partridge, the multi-instrumentalist Atropolis traveled through South America, looking for that perfect beat to tropicalize his dancefloor-oriented productions. To add even more original Latin flavor to the mix he then invited some legit Latinos to perform on his album. Amongst them are Canada’s MC Boogat and Lido Pimienta, and, on this particular track, the one and only Carol C, whom you may remember as the singer of Si*Sé.

Overall uplifting and definitely original in the sound design, Transitions will surely make Atropolis stand out as a producer amid the next wave of Gringos who successfully adopt the bass-ier end of the electropical music spectrum as their own.
