I never thought I’d say this, but right now I wish I was in Texas. Just check out this brand new video by Texan Producer/Remixer DJ Dus (A.K.A. Dusty Oliveira) and see how they party hard in the Dirty South. I mean, these cats really know how to throw a house party: there’s a piñata, an ape with a cumbia t-shirt, a bare-chested dude and lots of super hot girls. It’s been a while since I last attended a party of that caliber.
The song, “K Le Pasa” was released earlier this year as a part of a compilation of Texan electronic music (you can purchase it independently for just a couple of quarters!) and it was built around a sample of the classic “El Conductor” by Mike Laure, a song that’s also extremely popular among Chileans thanks to the cover done many years later by Chico Trujillo. The original is a great song in itself (funny double entendre lyrics), but this new version takes it through the ceiling and it’s a peak-of-the-night dancefloor explosion guaranteed.
