The last time we heard from Las Ardillas-–featuring members of the now defunct Dávila 666—was in 2011, when they released their full-length Ardillas. It was a record almost 10 years in the making and it was 11 glorious tracks of distorted guitars, fast drumming, and pure punk fury. None of the songs are longer than four minutes (exactly how I like ’em), which is why you should go listen to that record now.

Now that you’ve schooled yourself on their style, you can watch their recently premiered video for the song “¿Dónde Están?” off their new record Linda Niña. In true punk ethos, the track pays homage to those who have been with the band through thick and thin, and to the fans that have followed them around the island since 2000. The video for “¿Dónde Están?” is a black-and-white montage of the fans and collaborators set in venues around San Juan and the rest of the island. It’s pretty cool if you want to get a sense of what to expect when you go to an Ardillas show, or when they stop at a town near you in an upcoming U.S. tour in 2014.
