Exactly one year ago, Carla Morrison announced that she was making the leap from artist to mogul with the creation of Pan Dulce Productions. As the head of the label, Morrison personally selects independent artists from Mexico and provides them with an added push to help them with their careers.

The latest artist to get that push is Jandro (a.k.a. Alejandro Jimenez). Now this guy wasn’t plucked out of some random bar in Tecate. Jandro worked with Morrison as the engineer on her album, Déjenme Llorar, and you know he’s got to be special if he’s the lucky artist who’s (sort of) commemorating one year of Pan Dulce with the release of his self-titled album on April 29th.

Check out the video for first single “Donde ir” by director Sergio Valdez.
