Beisbol Celebrates L.A.’s Hispanic Heritage, Fans With Viva Los Dodgers Days

The LA Dodger Organization recently announced via LA Weekly the latest series of performers for Viva Los Dodgers, an annual series of events celebrating the city’s and team’s ties to the Hispanic community (beyond rooting for Fernando Valenzuela, Ramon Martinez or Javy Guerra, that is).

Not only are there games, food, autograph sessions and all sorts of other family-friendly events, there are also free concerts featuring various Hispanic artists. This year’s lineup is pretty incredible including KCRW’s Raul Campos, L.A.’s jarocho septet Las Cafeteras, Barcelona’s alt-pop group The Pinker Tones, Chilean hip hop poetess Ana Tijoux, D.F.’s Mexican Institute of Sound, Mexican singer-songwriter Ximena Sariñana, L.A.’s La Santa Cecilia, Venezuela-based dance punk’s La Vida Bohéme, and plenty of local acts.

The events will be held in Lot 6 two hours before each Sunday home game, and are free to all ticket holders. The series of event culminates with La Gran Fiesta – Viva Los Dodgers that caps off Hispanic Heritage Month in September.
