Last year, the good people of WACO Fest brought everything from electro pop to garage rock to Torreón. As our own Marcos Hassan put it, Torreón is “a city that has seen tragedy and violence take a high toll on the population. WACO and the music scene it celebrates have become an act of resistance in the face of despair.”
They may have outdone themselves this year, as their eclectic lineup boasts names that have graced the pages of Remezcla over and over in the past year. Topping the bill are viral trap squadron PXXR GVNG, future folk experimentalist Nicola Cruz, and Boricua rap upstart Audri Nix. We’ll also see The Parrots, Frikstailers, Happy Colors, Superstudio, Wet Baes, and tons more grace the stages in Torreón.
