Bad Gyal has gotten the biggest co-sign of her career yet. Today (May 23), the rising Spanish star released the music video for “Perdió” Remix featuring Puerto Rican icon Ivy Queen.

The Barcelona singer went global last year when Karol G featured her on the song “Kármika” with Jamaican star Sean Paul. Bad Gyal received more support from women in el movimiento when Young Miko and Tokischa jumped on “Chulo Pt. 2.” Now with the “Perdió” remix, she is joining forces with a pioneer who paved the way for women in reggaeton, Ivy Queen.

“Ivy is a super important artist for me and being able to collaborate with a legend like her on ‘Perdió’ has been incredible,” Bad Gyal shared in a statement. “Ivy is an idol for my entire generation. I love seeing how my work is able to inspire artists as influential as her.”

“Perdió” is a remix of Bad Gyal’s song “Perdió Este Culo.” In the dancehall banger, she sings about living a better life without her ex in it. The remix adds elements of reggaeton to the mix that Ivy Queen rules with an iron fist. She ups the sexy swagger of Bad Gyal’s breakup track with her fierce flow. “Perdió” packs even more of a punch with Ivy Queen in the mix.

“I feel that [Ivy Queen’s] verse gives the song even more power,” Bad Gyal added. “It takes it to another level. She always goes hard! She was the only person who could make this song bigger.”

The music video for “Perdió” was directed by Stillz, who has worked with Bad Bunny and Rosalía. Bad Gyal and Ivy Queen shine like diamond-studded goddesses in the 2000s-coded video. Bad Gyal’s La Joia album was released in January. The LP included features from Myke Towers, Anitta, Quevedo, Ñengo Flow, and Tommy Lee Sparta.
