Gepe and Mon Laferte are having us see double. On Sept. 26, the Chilean singer-songwriters released their newest collaboration, “BOLERo LIBRA,” a bolero-inspired track with pop elements.

“It is an honor to collaborate with Mon Laferte, a prominent figure in Latin American music. Her performance adds an additional depth to the song, creating a richer and more meaningful musical experience,” Gepe said in a press statement about the joint track. “She truly enriches the track with her presence, adding a new character to the narrative.”

The music video, directed by Rocío Huerta, features body doubles of the artists singing and acting like the stars. During the visuals, Gepe and Mon look-alikes take on the artists’ roles and bring the post-breakup song alive by echoing the artists’ signature looks. With lyrics like, “Puedo aceptar que esto nos falló  / Que lo intentamos otra vez y no nos funcionó / Quiero agradecer la oportunidad / De conocerte y entender / Que este es el final [I can accept that this failed us / That we tried again and it didn’t work / I want to thank you for the opportunity / To know you and understand / That this is the end],” the singers bid farewell to a failed relationship.

Fans are thrilled about the new collaboration. An X user wrote: “Diosssssssss gepe’s song with mon laferte is a gem 💎 ❤️.” Another X user commented: “The feature I didn’t know I needed 💖.”

“BOLERo LIBRA” is part of Gepe’s upcoming tenth album Undesastre, due on Oct. 3. The new album features other collaborations such as “VIVO” with Rubén Albarrán, “21 de enero” with Monsieur Periné,  and “Paloma” with Belencha.

Up next, the “Hablar de Ti” singer is going on tour throughout Chile and Mexico. On the other hand, Mon Laferte will close her year with performances in Mexico, Panama, El Salvador, and Puerto Rico.
