Free Download: World Hood – “Mar Y Monte” (G-Flux remix)

We introduced y’all to Sacramento’s tropical bass duo World Hood a few months ago when they dropped an EP for free earlier this year. The duo of Estella Sanchez and Anand Parmar, also members of Sol Collective, are back thanks to a remix of their  track, “Mar Y Monte.”

This one’s just in time for the summer. Mexico via DC’s über-producer G-Flux (who you’ll also recall) remixes aforementioned track and adds a few more instruments into the mix and turns the song into a tropical wonderland. Though the original was tropical enough in its own right, it gave more weight to its West Coast hip-hop influences. This time, it’s cervezas at the beach and tropical cumbia all night long. No surprise, really, considering that this is coming from Mr. space cumbia himself G-Flux (a.k.a. Gustavo Naranjo).

In the next weeks, World Hood releases their 5-track Mundo Libre for FREE, followed by a full-length album planned for Fall 2012, so stay tuned!
