We have our bags packed and ready for South By Southwest (SXSW) festival next week, where there will be more bands than we could possibly dream of seeing.
This year’s lineup of artists and showcases is one of the most impressive in years. Sounds Of Colombia invades the Speakeasy with El Freaky and Monophonicos. Our dude Matías Aguayo will perform with his peers at his Cómeme label showcase, while Sounds From Spain returns with yet another impressive lineup (Hinds, Begun, Macaco, and more). Other great showcases are Epicentro, Volumen Ache, Caradura/Tortilla Magazine, SBS, Spotify House, Volumen/ACHE Producciones, and House Party.
We’ve put together a playlist that includes many of the artists scheduled to perform at these showcases. We’ve got Compass, Kali Uchis, Caloncho, Centavrvs, Hinds, Ibeyi, 60 Tigres, La Banda Bastón, and more for your listening pleasure. You have at least a week until the music portion of SXSW starts…get ready!
