Bodega Bamz shared a glimpse off his upcoming Sidewalk Exec LP (real fans can pre-order here) to hold over the fans that are patiently waiting for it be released. In true Tanboys fashion, the half-Dominican half-Puerto Rican rapper lights up the track delivering visually gritty lines over the V’Don haunting instrumental. If the intro and the chatter scattered throughout the track sounds familiar, it’s taken from and most likely inspired by Billy Batts’ character in Goodfellas. You know, that ridiculously good gangster classic that’s celebrating its 25th anniversary this year? Time flies. Now back to Bamz.
The rapper is scheduled to release Sidewalk Exec, which features a posthumous appearance by the late A$AP Yams, on April 14.
