BrukOut’s Carga Maxima EP Completely Redefines Tropical Bass

Peligrosa crew member Sonora collaborates with San Antonio’s Isaiah FromTexas as tropical bass tandem BrukOut. Their blend of club, baile funk, folklorico, Top 40 ratchet-mania and pop-techno vibes on their free-to-download Carga Maxima EP bring a refreshing and exciting vibe to underground dance.
Title track “Carga Maxima” features house-style synths and heavy breaks –  like baile funk – but then the bassline kicks in and we’re in heavy club territory. Throw in some pop-friendly bleeps and bloops and this feels like the 21st century reinvention of Miami bass you didn’t know you were waiting for. “Summa Bang” keeps that “baile house” feel going, the galloping bassline adding an Afro-Latino meets Dutch feel to the production. Topping off the offerings is a folklorico-meets-dancehall track (yep, that’s the “Gas Pedal” riddim being alluded to) called “Sped Up,” and a take on Juicy J’s pop-trap heater “She Knows.”
And yes, this is all available for free. Amazing. Well worth the listen and download.
