Say hello to the greatest idea in the history of great ideas. National Women’s History Month comes to an end today (an expansion of International Women’s Day) and what better way to close out the month than with a compilation of Latina raperas! The “Somos Mujeres Somos Hip-Hop” project/collective recently released Latinamérica Unida, an album featuring various women rappers from the Americas rapping/rhyming socially-conscious verses across 12 tracks.

Nakury Del Patio (Costa Rica), Vaio Flow (Argentina), Rima Roja En Venus (Ecuador), Dania Neko (Chile), Audry Funk (Mexico), MC Jana (Colombia), Nina Uma (Bolivia), Anarkia Ruiz (Venezuela), Lenys Merkdo (Colombia), Rebeca Lane (Guatemala), Sipas Crew (Peru), and the Somos Mujeres Somos Hip Hop Latinoamérica crew (various) feature on the album in their musical fight against prejudice, violence, and sexism.
