LIZZ’s New Mix Delivers Blissed-Out Beats for Late Night Lust

IMPERIO, the debut EP from Chilean producer LIZZ, isn’t out just yet, but in the meantime, she’s treating us to a fantastic mix. REHAB666 is so fresh we can’t resist it – and trust us, we don’t want to. The trap-centric one-hour mix is jam-packed with slow, sensuous beats for all the lovers out there. It boasts a generous amount of future and 90s R&B, plus lots of hip-hop and bass music, and even flirts with hints of baile funk, Jersey club, reggae, and grime.

Soulful chords are layered with harsher sounds, but the mix maintains a constant velvety touch. Rap acapellas appear ever so often, ranging from Arabic verses, to dancehall vocals, to more recognizable samples, like Drake’s “The Language.” If this is an indication of LIZZ’s influences, or of how her upcoming EP will sound at all, color us excited.

As a bonus, check out this stunning LIZZ shoot, photographed by Karin Yunge. With its explosive minimalism, LIZZ’s gothic pop art aesthetic makes for a grand opening statement.
