Last year, Peruvian duo Dengue Dengue Dengue released some chill-as-hell tracks in the form of Serpiente Dorada, an EP follow-up to their debut album La Alianza Profana. Now they’ve dropped “Murdah,” the first peek at their upcoming sophomore LP, and it’s anything but chill. “Murdah” is a pulsating, tribal frenzy that has little in common with the trippier, thicker beats on their last record, giving you the sense that you’d be able to run a marathon. But Dengue Dengue Dengue’s trademark is still here, it’s just on different drugs.
