DJ Cueheat Gives Reggaeton Classics the Jersey Club Midas Touch on ‘Latin Club TakeOver Vol. 2’

Paterson, New Jersey’s own DJ Cueheat has amassed a serious following after the release of the #first Jersey Club fix of Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen,” as well as the first Latin Club TakeOver pack, which reworked familiar cuts from the reggaeton canon.

Maxing out at an impressive 16 edits, the second edition of the Latin Club TakeOver pack stays true to the genre’s bouncy, breakbeat form, and it doesn’t necessarily offer up any surprises in the formula for the remixes, but in this case that’s not really the point. Cueheat’s execution is as precise as can be, and club essentials like Nina Sky’s “Oye Mi Canto,” Nicky Jam’s “Voy a Beber,” and Plan B’s “Frikitona” were just waiting for that Jersey Club midas touch.
