Dusty Oliveira continues to develop his warped, cumbia-tinged dance floor fusions. He returns yet again with another fire joint just in time for the weekend.
Collaborating again with Happy Colors – with whom he made party magic in the not so distant past on “Cumbia Anthem” – Dusty welcomes MLKMN to deliver prime rhymes and hooks to the track. “We Out Chea” is bonafide cumbia fusion topped by a trappy drum pattern and meticulous production. El Dusty’s dedication to establishing cumbia as a global fusion genre is effervescent here, and will make you bounce around the room.
If this wasn’t reason enough for El Dusty’s weekend to start on a high note, he’s also slated to appear with his Locos Only crew at Meccalani’s second SXSW showcase at Swan Dive, adjacent to Perreo, our own massive showcase at the same venue. Alternating with his posse (as well as sets by MLKMN and Happy Colors) are Kat Dahlia, Diaz Grimm, and Lil Debbie.
