Los Blenders Go On a Debaucherous Party Rampage in the Video for “Solo”

Los Blenders are a hard partying bunch, no question about it. So in theory, “Solo,” a song about being left alone, is sort of unexpected. But that premise makes a lot more sense once you watch the video.

Directed by Joey Muñoz and produced by Vice and Corona (as part of their participation in the latter’s Descubre Tu Música campaign), the video takes cues from MTV classics like Twisted Sister’s’ “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” Beastie Boys’ “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!)” and Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” but also winks at turn-of-the-millennium angsty rock clips where the lead actor (played here by vocalist Arch) suffers from daddy issues. It’s a fun and bizarre video featuring what looks like a cast of extras straight from the Tianguis Cultural del Chopo fucking shit up.

Classic vibes, the Blenders’ way.
