As part of a their currently ongoing season of releases, Finesse Records launched a brief but touching Encoded Memories EP by Mexico City producer Naked Geometry. Originally native to Ciudad Satelite at the capital’s outskirts, Romeo aka Naked Geometry has been making waves over the last year through his emotive mixes and releases, and his melodic bass sound with heavy hip-hop influences and strains of UK Bass.

Encoded Memories is a set of three original tracks, whose suave type of production, lush melodies and bouncy bass lines are a perfect fit for Finesse’s baby makin’ music approach. On “Shuuuggah,” Geometry shows another side of his production abilities, teaming up with Guatemalan MC Jesse Baez to make a contemporary R&B track that retains Naked Geometry’s futuristic vibe. To top off this brief but strong release, the label’s own boss gave his seal of approval with a remix for “Nature Colors” that works in some of his iconic jersey-driven bass drum shuffles, along with some vocal pitch work.
