Royal Highness Tap Reggaeton Legend DJ Blass for New Single “Damelo”

Texas-based breakout duo Royal Highness (Principe Cu and King Louie) just dropped “Damelo,” a warped trap number with a classic reggaeton edge. Throbbing synths dominate the melody, and though their sound is set at a piercing minor key pitch that catches the ear in the best way, it’s the 808 rumble and crunching sweep of the track’s bottom end that actually does the work of pushing the track onto the dance floor. There are also features from Jah Fabio and legendary reggaeton producer DJ Blass. OG bass extraordinaire Toy Selectah executive produced the track, while Grammy-nominated Frank “El Medico” Rodriguez mixed and mastered it. “Damelo” is the first single from the upcoming Royal Highness album Lo Ke Tu Quiera, and given the participants here, we’re expecting a supersized record with classic dembow flair.
