Ruido Rosa’s Carla Sariñana Goes Solo for Sweeping Shoegaze on “Take Me Home”

Every member of Ruido Rosa is highly talented. As such, it was only a matter of time until at least one of the women broke out with a solo project. We’ve already seen singer Ale Moreno pulling vocal duties on Disco Ruido and Reyna. Kudos, then, to bassist Carla Sariñana for being the first to carve out her solo debut as Silver Rose.

Sariñana moved to L.A. for a few months to write and record her solo debut, which a few folks got to listen to already at intimate shows. “Take Me Home” was the third track she wrote during her stay and is a shoegaze/dream pop gem mixed by Carlos Hernandez, who’s produced similar fare for Los Planetas and Triángulo De Amor Bizarro. The video by Alexandra Velasco and Camila Sadarriaga is a 70s home video ode to her time in Cali, grainy 16mm footage of beaches and all.

Silver Rose’s debut EP should be available later this year.
