Oakland-based trio Twerkillaz return with their latest single “Twerk Till U Die,” a rap-influenced dembow-meets-twerk banger aimed at everyone from neon festival ravers to underground boom-bap aficionados. Of course, as rap and EDM become synonymous, the space between the two isn’t exactly as vast as was once expected, making this a tropical-tinged groove intended for all audiences. Twerkillaz and rapper ToBy bring the modern EDM effects, while Happy Colors (as he is wont to do) keeps the track rooted in wholly organic Latin riddims.
