Will Smith Raps in Spanish on Bomba Estereo’s “Fiesta” Remix Because Everything is Amazing

Earlier this year, TIME Magazine reported that Will Smith has been singing in all his talk show appearances – from the theme song of his famous show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to his classic “Getting Jiggy With It.” That immediately triggered a big question: is the Fresh Prince ready to hit the mic again? Well, now we have an answer for that, and it’s more random and amazing than anything we might’ve imagined.

Just a week after Will Smith sent a Facebook shout out to Bomba Estereo for their Latin Grammy nominations – one that had us wondering how they knew each other and reminiscing about Big Willy’s love for speaking Spanish – the Colombians have now released a remix to their banger single “Fiesta” with no other than Smith as a featured guest.

According to a press release, Will Smith heard about Bomba Estéreo on a recent trip to Colombia and loved their sound. He reached out for a collaboration, and not only recorded a verse on “Fiesta,” but will also appear in a video filmed in Los Angeles for the track. (We’re hoping he reprises that silk blouse from the “Miami” video, obviously).

Smith’s voice appears from the beginning of “Fiesta” and then joins in on the climax with rhymes that let him flex his español skills. He asks for a cerveza, gives a shout out to “Sofi Vergara” and then delivers the classic “pa’ rriba / pa’ bajo,” adding some nice flow to the mix. Big Willie style.

Never change Will Smith. Never change.

UPDATE: Bomba Estéreo have shared a behind-the-scenes teaser for the “Fiesta” remix video. Basically, we learned that we can thank Marc Anthony for linking up this dream team.
