Raekwon the Chef can now hang up his apron because the new Iron Chef in hip-hop is a muppet named Loco Lopez. The slumlord restauranteur, behind some of our favorite cuchifrito spots, taco trucks, and chimi stands hits the rap scene hard with a holiday anthem that would make O.T. Genasis proud, “I’m in Love with Coquito.”
The debut parody video was created by Geko Jones and Zilla from Bushwick Public Access TV. The two have been collaborating to create a visual aesthetic to the barrioteca sound played at parties like Que Bajo!? and Peligrosa, and are said to be working on bringing us a steady stream of hilarious new videos like this for 2015.
