Fade to Mind-affiliated producer Rizzla is releasing his debut EP Iron Cages on September 25. The eponymous lead single has dropped, and its dembow-inspired, bubbling bassline bears a wonderfully exploratory melody that mixes ambient sounds, stabbing synths, and the swirling vocals of Odile Myrtil. This one is something else. Following up on his production from Kelela’s CUT 4 ME album, arguably Fade to Mind’s mainstream breakout as a label, this single showcases the type of club-ready yet nuanced production for which Rizzla deserves greater awareness.
