So the NFL wants to expand its International Series to Mexico City. Cool? Maybe? I don’t know, but what I do know is that according to a report by NFL writer Kevin Patra, the league is sending a second contingent to the Mexican capital for further evaluations of Estadio Azteca as a possible venue.

Hold up. Wait a second. A second contingent?

Excuse me, NFL (yes, I am speaking directly to your league as a whole), who the hell do you think you are? Do you not realize that this historic temple of a stadium has hosted not one but TWO FIFA World Cup finals? Do you not appreciate the fact that this sacred fortress is where the likes of Pelé and Maradona were crowned world champions? Did you somehow forget that this glorious castle played witness to the famous Hand of God goal? That it’s home to incredible memories and unforgettable moments?

Yeah, we thought so. While you cite locker rooms, broadcasting space, and technical infrastructure as potential issues, we cite your ignorance of the universally-accepted reality that Estadio Azteca is the best place to play any sport ever. No question about it.
