So, has Jackson Martínez finally arrived at Atlético?

Although the goal wasn’t amazing and it was against the underdog team of the group, it comes as a breath of fresh air to Martínez, who’s feeling the pressure of meeting the great expectations placed upon him.

The 3-0 victory obtained by Atleti today keeps them in the highly contested fight for the two spots in the next round. With tough matches coming against Benfica and Galatasaray in the next few weeks, the Colchoneros need the best version of Jackson if they want to aspire for something important in this year’s edition of the Champions.

Jackson is known for his up and downs. Many years ago, he used to play for Jaguares de Chiapas in Mexico, where many would say that if the striker was more disciplined, he’d definitely be playing in Europe.

Well now he’s in Europe, and he has shown great things with Porto. So vamos Jackson! May this Champions League goal be the first of many with Atlético this season.
