VIDEO: Luis "El Matador" Hernandez Tells Us About the Biggest Game of His Life

After 15 years as a professional, 450 matches played, 167 goals scored, a pair of eccentric hairstyles and innumerable bottles of hair dye, the stats of Luis “El Matador” Hernandez — el TRI’s pretty-faced killer — are more than enough to guarantee him a spot in Mexican soccer’s Hall of Fame. And, of course, an undisputed seat on the throne for most stylish player.

We spoke to the man himself about the fateful day in ’98, when he scored one of the most epic goals of his storied career. This is the first entry in a series that will dive into the memories of some of Latin America’s greatest soccer players, allowing them to recount, in their own words, the most important 90 minutes of their lives.
