Navas Might Remain at Real Madrid in De Gea Transfer Fail

The transfer of David De Gea from Manchester United to Real Madrid appears to be a real clusterfuck. ESPN FC claims that the paperwork for De Gea’s transfer was late, and if this is true, then it will keep him from being with his pop star girlfriend full-time in Spain until at least January. Marca reports that the mishap means that Keylor Navas will remain at Real Madrid. Although, De Gea most likely wouldn’t be transferred until next season. In January, De Gea would be free to negotiate a contract with Real Madrid that would start in July.

Twitter has already been spreading the news, and they have been making some absurd claims. Only time will tell if they are true. Check them out below:

What does this mean for Navas, who might end up as Real Madrid’s default goalie? And what about De Gea, who’s already had problems with van Gaal? Sound off in the comments.
