Diego Luna Confirmed For USC's Lecture Series

Actor, producer and now feature-film director Diego Luna will sit down to talk about arts, culture, politics and more at USC Annenberg’s Lecture Series on Latin American Arts & Culture on November 8th. Luna, currently roving through the world promoting his feature directorial debut “Abel“, will stop by and have a one-on-one with professor Josh Kun at USC’s Bovard Auditorium.

Since his breakout performance in Y Tu Mama Tambien, Luna has emerged as one of the leading men in Mexico’s thriving film industry. Recently, Luna paired with his colleague (pictured above) Gael Garcia Bernal and created Canana Productions — a company dedicated to producing documentary and feature films based in Mexico and Latin America. The new venture will also focus on projects focusing on the unsolved murders of 300 women in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

Luna’s newest film Abel will be featured at AFI Fest 2010 the 7th and 9th of November, and it promises to be a delight. Watch the trailer below and get more info on prices of the USC event here.
