This week’s prizes come to us from New York label Monkey Pig, named for the Chinese Zodiac signs of the pair of brains behind it. Don’t take ourwords for it. Here’s what they have to say about themselves:
Heidy Cuevas and José Vizcaíno are the responsible heads behind Monkey Pig, they met a decade ago while studying Advertising between UASD and UNAPEC in the Dominican Republic. They share a strong affinity for everything visual, musical and expressive; having backgrounds in Graphic Design while working for brands like Bacardi Pto Rco., Cerveza Presidente in DR and Prestige Beer for BRANA in Haiti, meanwhile José is an accomplished musician, having two Casandras (Dominican Grammy equivalent) under his belt for his drum performance with Pop-Rock band Aljadaqui.
As Monkey Pig, they have worked with King Changó, Taxi Amarillo (Tónica Video), Henry Santos from Aventura (Poquito a poquito, Venemusic), Marianly Tejada Miss World 2011 Dom. Representative, Papayo – Pitbull’s percussionist (Drum Magazine), TV Series Doggie Moms for NYC Life, and with many more projects and artists.
