Bad Bunny is an icon many would pay top dollar to see. In fact, El Último Tour Del Mundo was the most highly anticipated tour (and highest grossing tour by a Latine artist) in the world, bringing fans together from all over for a chance to see him perform. But that also means that the chances of the average fan getting to see him are kind of low.

That’s where Madame Tussauds comes in — in some way.

The museum, which has branches all over the world, houses rooms upon rooms of wax figures of some of the biggest celebrities in the world. From Selena Quintanilla to Queen Elizabeth II, Carmelo Anthony, President Joe Biden, and more. It’s an opportunity to take a picture with some of your favorites that you might never get a chance to do so otherwise.

Now you have the opportunity to do that with Bad Bunny. Yes, we know it’s not the real thing, but it’s something?

On April 19, Madame Tussauds wax museum in New York – Times Square debuted two new wax figures of the icon in question. During the ceremony, he couldn’t help himself and poked and prodded at the figures that had his face and some of his most iconic outfits; the 2021 Wrestlemania ensemble and his Super Bowl LIV outfit.

When Remezcla asked Bad Bunny about being honored in such a manner, taking into account that most celebrities don’t get wax figures until later on in their careers, he was honest. Also, special note, Bad Bunny did this interview in Spanish but we’ll be translating the answers as to avoid a situation like the one at the 2021 AMA’s.

“It feels cabrón,” Bad Bunny explained with a laugh, “I feel awesome. I didn’t expect it either. What you said is true. Some [have to] wait until the end of their career or their life for something like this to get done. And I have the opportunity to do this in this moment. And it looks like it’s been lots of years but it’s only just beginning. It feels good.”

We also wanted to know what he thinks about his fans coming to Madame Tussauds New York and Orlando to see an eerily similar lookalike of him. Because they will jump at the opportunity to pose, have a laugh, and hang out with him in any way, shape, or form that they can. And we don’t blame them. We did the same thing when we were there.

Bad Bunny was quick to answer that it was kind of great and another, “Es cabrón!”

He followed that up by talking about seeing double and how he was utterly fascinated by the wax figures behind him. Because it’s certainly something to see photos of the figures and a completely different thing to see them in real life. “I’ve seen the photos and how it was coming out. And it was looking abrón. But here, it’s something else. It’s crazy. It feels very weird.”

Bad Bunny kept his looking back at forth at his wax figures in awe before exclaiming, “It’s really me, cabrón.”
