Camille Vasquez, one of the lawyers who represented actor Johnny Depp in his defamation suit against ex-wife and actress Amber Heard, is under the spotlight and highly sought-after now that the high-profile trial is over.

According to the New York Post, Vasquez, who is Colombian and Cuban, has caught the attention of several TV networks and law firms that want to put her on their payroll.

“Talent agents are circling Camille because they recognize that she is the unicorn – a smart, savvy, poised attorney whose impactful performance during the trial propelled her to a rare level of visibility,” a source told The Post. “And the fact that she is a woman of color is an added bonus.”

Currently, an associate at the law firm Brown Rudnick, The Post is reporting that Vasquez is now “at the center of an ongoing bidding war” between other law firms who would like to add her to their team. The outlet also says that Vasquez has received “offers from several traditional TV networks and cable channels since the trial ended.”

However, it might be a lot more difficult today than it was last week to pry Vasquez away from Brown Rudnick. The law firm recently promoted her to partner.

“I am delighted that Brown Rudnick has given me its full vote of confidence by having me join the partnership,” Vasquez said in a statement. “I’m proud of the uniquely talented team I’ve had the privilege to lead, which exemplified teamwork and collaboration, and I look forward to continuing to represent Brown Rudnick’s culture of excellence.”

Even if Brown Rudnick is where she ultimately stays, those network gigs aren’t going anywhere. “Camille is inarguably a great voice to weigh in on legal matters,” a former network executive familiar with the offers told The Post. “Networks are naturally chomping at the bit to speak with her about on-air opportunities.”
