Danna Paola has said goodbye to her grandmother and wants everyone to know what a wonderful and special woman she was. The actress and singer posted photos of her grandmother, who she called “Chelo,” to her Instagram account and included a sweet tribute.
“Heaven is celebrating,” Paola wrote. “You chose a great day to say goodbye to this earthly world. I celebrate your life so much, the great woman, mother, and grandmother you were, the pillar of our family. You taught us to never give up and never remain silent, to support each other in the family. Thank you for the love you gave us until the last day, you have always supported my dreams, and I am so grateful for your life, your light. It hurts my soul to say goodbye, but today, thanks to you, I learned so much about life, and God takes you by the hand to your eternal rest full of joy.”
The first image Paola posted was a black and white photo of her kissing her grandmother on the forehead. She also posted a photo of her grandmother as a young woman and another portrait where she is smiling and holding a Yorkshire Terrier.
“I am so proud to be your granddaughter and carry a piece of you inside my heart forever,” Paola’s message continued. “See you always Grandma Chelo. Fly high! I LOVE YOU.”
Some of Paola’s friends shared their condolences online. Singer Lalo Brito wrote, “I’m so sorry, Dannita,” while actress Samadhi Zendejas said to be strong. Others who offered kind words to Paola, included actress Ana Breco, actor Jorge Anzaldo, and singer Camila Sodi.
