Costa Rica’s Epicentro Announces Activities and Lineup For 2016 Edition

One of the best annual parties in independent Latin American music is back. Epicentro, the festival that put Costa Rica on the map as a new music hub a few years back, is set to to be bigger and better than ever this year.

Taking place in San José on the weekend of April 16 and 17, Epicentro will host a bunch of activities that highlight both the national and international musical scenes, including workshops, expos and even a pop up shop. Thanks to a partnership with municipal authorities in San José, Epicentro is now part of the Festival de Verano Transitarte.

At the center of it all is the music, and the festival will host an amazing lineup across venues like Parque Morazán, Escuela Buenaventura Corrales, and Edificio Steinworth. The bill is headlined by international talent like Mitú, AJ Dávila’s Terror Amor and Adán & Xavi y Los Imanes (Adanowsky’s new project.) The local scene will be represented by Las Robertas, Colornoise, Crypy, Raza Bronze, Triddi, Vicepresidente and many more. For more info check out the website here.

To get excited, we have assembled a playlist with some of the bands playing this year as well as others who have been part of Epicentro in past editions.
