Music producer José Angel Hernández, better known as Flow La Movie, died in a plane crash Wednesday (December 15) near Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He was 38.

Billboard reports that the producer was one of seven passengers who lost their lives when their private jet crashed. Among the victims was Flow’s partner Debbie Von Marie Jiménez García and his son, Jayden Hernández. Helidosa Aviation Group released a statement that also confirmed the deaths of two of their crew members in the crash.

“For Helidosa, this accident causes us great pain and sorrow,” the company said in a statement. “We stand in solidarity with the affected families [who], along with us, are going through a difficult time.”

Along with Flow La Movie, Jiménez García and Hernández, the other victims of the crash were Kellyan Hernández Peña, Veronica Estrella, Luis Alberto Eljuri Tancredo, Emilio Herrera, and two teenagers whose relationship to the team hasn’t been confirmed.

Flow La Movie was behind the 2017 song “Te Boté,” which was released as a remix the following year by Nicky Jam and Puerto Rican artists Bad Bunny and Ozuna. He also produced Nio García’s “AM” and “La Jeepeta.”

DJ Julio Adoni Gross, better known as DJ Adoni, posted a video on Instagram confirming that he was a passenger on the same private jet earlier that day. Adoni and his team landed safely at the airport. Hours later, the plane crashed with Flow La Movie and the others on board.

“Thanks to all that have cared about me,” Adoni wrote. “I am well thanks to God. Peace to lost souls and strength to their family members.”
