One month after Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck tied the knot in Las Vegas, the power couple will celebrate their marriage this weekend, this time with family and friends – and photographers from Vogue magazine.
According to Page Six, Lopez and Affleck are throwing a three-day wedding extravaganza from August 19-21. The weekend will start with a rehearsal dinner on Friday, a wedding ceremony on Saturday, and a barbecue and picnic on Sunday.
“It’s going to be all about J.Lo,” an insider told the outlet. “Ben wants all of the focus to be on her for their big day.”
The big bash is taking place at Affleck’s $7.5-million mansion in Riceboro, Georgia, which is about 40 miles southwest of Savannah. According to Home & Gardens, the estate “is a remarkable imitation of a plantation house and is located on 35 hectares of land overlooking the North Newport River on Hampton Island.”
Page Six is also reporting that Lopez will wear a custom Ralph Lauren couture dress made in Italy. During her wedding in Las Vegas, she wore two separate wedding dresses, one of which was a white Alexander McQueen gown that Lopez said was “a dress from an old movie.”
The outlet also writes that event planner Colin Cowie, who has worked with Lopez before and has planned events in the past for celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Michael Jordan, is handling all the festivities. Guests who have been invited to the party include Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel, Casey Affleck, and Drea de Matteo. We’ll just assume our invitation was lost in the mail.
