Eleonora “Lele” Pons has made a name for herself for her YouTube and Instagram skits. Starting off as a Vine star – she became the most looped user on the platform – the Venezuelan actress and singer has managed to translate support on the video-hosting service into other mediums, including modeling (like walking the Dolce & Gabbana show in 2017) to hosting gigs (she’ll be front and center on Televisa’s La Voz Mexico). And while numerous articles detail facts about the famous YouTuber, hardly any mention her connection to Chayanne, her uncle by marriage.
Pons is the daughter of Anna Maronesse, whose sister Marilisa Maronesse, aka Chayanne’s wife. Marilisa and Chay’s daughter, Isadora Figueroa, has shared several pictures of herself alongside her cousin over the past few years.
Earlier this year, Lele told Univision that if she could pick a famous person to collaborate on a video with it’d be her tío Chayanne. “He’s my uncle and my godfather,” she said. “I haven’t made a video with him, I think because he’s a very private person. He’s very guarded with his personal life.” Now that we know Lele has put it out there into the universe, here’s hoping we eventually see him pop up in one of her videos.
