If you’re working as hard as Sofía Vergara and Karol G are on their upcoming Netflix series Griselda, you’re bound to get a little hungry.
On Monday (March 21), Vergara posted a series of photos on Instagram of her, Karol G, and some of their fellow cast members out for dinner and drinks … and cookies.
“Last night celebrating this cast that I love!!” Vergara wrote on Instagram.
In the first photo that Vergara shared, she is with Karol G eating cookies at a table with other actors like Jose Velazquez, Orlando Pineda, Fredy Yate, and Julieth Restrepo, among others. Vergara also posted some shots of her and actors Camilo Jimenez Varon, José Zúñiga and Paulina Dávila.
Griselda is a series that follows Griselda Blanco, one of the most infamous drug lords in Colombia. Karol G was cast as a drug mule named Carla, who works for Sofía Vergara’s character Griselda by delivering drugs.
“It’s a great role because there’s real character development,” Karol G told Vogue México. “[Carla] is a character that evolves. She sees what she does as a job, but also as a way to maintain her family, and she’s tough! She reaches another level.”
She also described her experience working on Griselda as “another universe” and talked about how she prepared for the role. “With my [acting] teacher, we get into different situations, and he helps me get in character,” she said. “When you’re not an actor, your goal is to do things well, so they’re credible. But in acting, you really get inside a character, and you forget about what people want.”
Griselda is expected to debut on Netflix sometime in late 2022 or early 2023.
