Manuel Paul’s Por Vida continues to be attacked by people who don’t believe in the right to love whoever you want. A San Francisco mural, which depicts two same sex couples and one transgender person front and center, was set on fire on Monday at 11:12 p.m. after having already been vandalized three times.

The Galeria de la Raza’s mural cost $3,000 to produce, and was replaced each of the three times it was vandalized. Unfortunately, the mural may not be replaced this time. “We have to consider a lot of things, including the safety of our neighbors upstairs,” said Ani Rivera, director of the Galeria.

So congratulations to those pendejos for ruining the chance for others to be represented as they should be. You can burn the mural down as many times as you like, but you can’t change the fact that love won.
