Mexican boxing champion Canelo Álvarez has plenty of years before he would ever think about retiring, but there’s no denying what the superstar fighter might want to do with his time once he hangs up his gloves – sing his heart out!

Radio personality Molusco posted a video yesterday (Jan. 5) featuring Álvarez singing at a recent party in Miami. The video begins with Álvarez taking the mic and telling the crowd, “Let’s f—ing party, cabrones!” and “No f—ing around!” The clip then cuts to Álvarez doing some impromptu karaoke for the audience. Though the state of his sobriety is unknown, many in the comments expressed wishes of being on the same vibe as him.

Although the performance left much to be desired, Álvarez has sounded a lot better on stage in the past. This past November, he was recorded by Grammy award-winning DJ and producer Zedd serenading his wife Fernanda at a Las Vegas nightclub after earning a TKO victory against Caleb Plant that same evening. That night, Álvarez’s song of choice was Joan Sebastian’s “Eso Y Mas.”

In the past, Álvarez told people about how much he liked singing karaoke during his free time. He told The Dan LeBatard Show that “romantic music” was his favorite genre to sing. He also gave listeners a sample of his talent by belting out Luis Miguel’s “La Media Vuelta.” During that interview, Álvarez admitted that having a few drinks helps get him going “so it can flow better.”

We’re not quite sure how many drinks Álvarez had at the party in Miami prior to grabbing the mic, but at least he looked like he was having fun doing it.
